MINUTES 2018/07/24Pursuant to Government Code Section 54953, Subdivision. (b), the following Council meeting will include teleconference participation by Councilmember Vienna from: The Saguaro Scottsdale -4000 North Drinlm ater Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ 85251 ROLL CALL: Mayor Curtis W. Vienna (via teleconference) STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Blaine Michaelis Assistant City Manager Ken Duran Assistant City Manager Community Development Larry Stevens City Attorney Mark Steres Director of Public Works Krishna Patel Acting Director of Parks and Recreation Leon Raya Assistant City Clerk Debra Black Mayor Morris described the formalities for conducting this meeting via teleconference after which he verified with Councilmember Vienna that the required legislative details had been met at his location. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at and led the flag salute. Recognition of the San Dimas Youth Softball Association 8U Girls Team for their 2nd place finish in the USA Softball 2018 Southern California C State Championship Acting Director of Parks & Recreation Leon Raya made the presentation to the team. Coach Adrian Sifuentes thanked the city for the use of the softball fields in the city. Mr. Raya invited everyone to the Marchant Park Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on July 28, 2018. Resolutions read by title, further reading waived, passage and adoption recommended as follows: RESOLUTION 2018 -45, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN DIMAS APPROVING CERTAIN DEMANDS FOR THE MONTHS OF JUNE AND JULY, 2018. b. Approval of minutes for the City Council meeting of July 10, 2018 and Study Session of June 12, 2018. c. Construction Contract No. 2018 -05 Pavement Preservation: Juanita Et Al Street Improvement Project MOTION: Motion/second by Councilmembers BadarNienna to approve the consent calendar as presented. Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority (Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BS 171326) The City Council discussed the existing litigation and provided direction to staff for settlement negotiations. No action was taken. The session adjourned at 8:45 pm and the city attorney made the announcement in council chambers that no action was taken.
