Kistemann Assistant City Clerk Debra Black Captain Berg provided an update on recent graffiti occurrences within the city and asked members of the community to call the Sheriff's Station if they have any information related to these incidents. h Students in Government — report on activity Dave Millbrand AP Government Teacher at San Dimas High School read his letter of appreciation and summarization of the impact the event had on the students. He thanked the Council and staff for partnering with the students. Marchant Park Facility Enhancement Project Director of Parks and Recreation Hector Kistemann introduced Facilities Manager Karon Deleon who explained that the city received an award from the California Parks and Recreation District 13, for the Facility Park Planning and Design of the Marchant Park Improvement Project. She thanked Council for their support of the Parks and Recreation projects and programs. Staff will be submitting the report to HCD no later than April 1, 2019. Gold Line Update Assistant City Manager Community Development Larry Stevens provided the following updates: 1) Draft Supplemental EIR for Phase Two -B, Phasing Operations Plan was released on Friday and starts the 45 day public review period which runs through May 6, 2019. 2) Public meeting and hearing on Tuesday April 16th, 2019 at 6:00 in LaVerne Community Center, staff will review the document for possible comments from the city. Members of the Audience (Speakers are limited to five (5) minutes or as may be determined by the Chair.) 1) Wendy Gish expressed concern over local agencies losing their ability to govern their cities. 2) Pete Sluis shared information on Metro Link train functions and operations. City Manager Mayor's call in show will air this week. City Attorney Nothing to report. Members of the City Council 1) Appointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission MOTION: Motion/seconded by Councilmembers Ebiner /Berton to appoint Anthony Boulahoud to the Parks and Recreation Commission. Following the closed session, the City Attorney made a public announcement that "the City Council met and discussed the closed session matter on the agenda and provided direction to City staff.
