However, your concerns may be referred to staff or set for discussion at a later date. Municipal Code Text Amendment 20-0002; Consideration of a Municipal Code Text Amendment to amend Title 18-Zoning, Chapter 18.152 Signs of the San Dimas Municipal Code ORDINANCE 1278, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCL OF THE CITY OF SAN DIMAS, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING MUNICIPAL CODE TEXT AMENDMENT 20-0002 TO AMEND CHAPTER 18.152-SIGNS OF THE SAN DIMAS MUNICIPAL CODE (First reading and introduction) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff and the Planning Commission recommend that the City Council adopt Ordinance 1278 approving Municipal Code Text Amendment 20-0002 amending Title 18- Zoning, Chapter 18.152 — Signs of the San Dimas Municipal Code. Director of Public Works Shari Garwick made the following report. A draft code text is provided for the establishment of a review process for the installation of private directional and monument signs in the public right-of-way. The approval of this text will allow for the City Council's Policy for Directional Signs in the Public Right -of -Way which was approved on December 10, 2019 to take effect simultaneously with the effective date of the amendments to the Municipal Code Chapter 18.152. The Planning Commission reviewed and recommended approval of the Municipal Code Text Amendment (MCTA) at its meeting on February 6, 2020. Staff and the Planning Commission recommend that the City Council approve Municipal Code Text Amendment 20-0002. City Council Minutes February 25, 2020 Page 3 No public comments. Mayor Morris closed the public hearing and brought the item back to the Council for discussion. MOTION: Motion seconded by Mayor Pro Tem.
